OMS in Action: Client Round-Up
While it may be time to stop saying “Happy New Year,” it’s never too late to look back at some of the work we were proud of in 2019. We had a great time collaborating on Q4 client work to help clients on evolving content marketing, social media and PR needs!
The quarter included projects in social media, industry-focused thought leadership content as well as a custom publication for tech marketers. Take a look at some of the Q4 client work we’ve been busy with lately:
SysAdmin Day 2019
Client: CDW
Did you know we recognize IT professionals every year on System Administrator Appreciation Day, also known as SysAdmin Day? This year marked the culmination of a thoughtful organic social media campaign launched for CDW in the weeks before. Our objectives?
- Spark meaningful engagement with IT decision makers
- Express gratitude in the spirit of the holiday
- Ensure close collaboration with other CDW internal and external agencies
How did we do all of this? To start, the coordinated effort began with crafting questions to gather user-generated content from IT professionals on Spiceworks. This feedback helped supply our “Choose Your Own IT Adventure” thread on Twitter that was designed specifically with tech experts in mind. Throughout the thread were CDW-branded (and coworker-supplied GIFs). In addition, we included promotion of a CDW video another social team created as part of the overall SysAdmin Day campaign. Furthermore, to capitalize on the chatter ahead of the holiday, our IT adventure thread went live a few days before SysAdmin Day. Additionally we made sure to cross-promote it across our other social channels the same day it launched and throughout the week. In the end, receiving over a third (35%) of our monthly engagements, we met all three key campaign objectives!
Thought Leadership Content Drives Global Awareness
Client: Phillips-Medisize
Not taking one’s medication is a widespread issue, especially when it comes to managing chronic diseases like diabetes. Likewise, self-administering insulin shots can be a painful experience. So Phillips-Medisize partners with major pharmaceutical companies to design, develop and manufacture custom drug delivery devices and innovative connected health solutions. Outlook is helping Phillips-Medisize raise awareness about electronic devices like autoinjectors, inhalers and pens. When embedded with sensors and connected to a mobile app or cloud-based portal, they can improve medication adherence through patient dose reminders and monitoring.
To support these efforts, we launched a media relations campaign in the U.S., Europe and Asia. The goal was to position their leading experts as bylined authors for top-tier trade publications. In recent months, original content appeared digitally and in hard copy format in International Pharmaceutical Industry, European Pharmaceutical Manufacturer, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing & Packaging Sourcer and Medical Plastics News. In addition, we promoted it through social channels and medical conference distribution. This program strengthened Phillips-Medisize’s voice as a respected authority on the value of connected health and expanded its global market visibility.
LinkedIn Magazine and Campaign: Underscore, Volume 2
Client: LinkedIn
Previously, we supported LinkedIn on the 2018 launch of Underscore, a publication unlike any other — a magazine for tech marketers, by tech marketers. As in Volume 1, the latest edition focuses on what matter most to marketers on day-to-day challenges, specifically understanding technology buyers. As a result, inside the curated pages are LinkedIn’s latest report on technology buying. Additionally you’ll find perspectives from leading industry marketers and their top work. First-hand advice ranges from: how to achieve marketing-sales alignment, better video creation and tips for high-performing campaigns. Some of the top stories include:
– Building a roadmap for more effective channel marketing
– Delighting customers post-sale through aligned marketing and sale
– Interviews with HPE, Oracle and Tableau on audience-centric campaigns
– How to build and sustain market share in emerging tech
