OMS IN ACTION: Q4 CLIENT PROJECTS
Above all, 2020 has kept the entire world on its toes like never before. Despite all the unknowns and new challenges, it’s never too early to look back and celebrate successes. Thus we had a great time collaborating on Q4 client projects to support evolving marketing needs! Our recent support includes PR for new product launches, content development to promote client success and content strategy and messaging support for a client’s first virtual customer community. Take a look at what we’ve been up to lately.
Labelmaster Launches Dangerous Goods Industry’s First Digital Community
Client: Labelmaster
When the COVID pandemic hit, Labelmaster faced a challenge: cancel their annual Dangerous Goods (DG) Symposium or go virtual. Instead, Labelmaster went even bigger with a longstanding idea that would accomplish the symposium and more. As a result, they launched the DG Exchange – the DG industry’s first digital community. The goal? To create a place for supply chain and business professionals to share ideas, learn and collaborate in order to understand and navigate DG issues, challenges and trends.
The community includes several Groups, each focused on specific areas in the DG industry (regulations, technology and lithium batteries, etc.). It offers members a wide range of opportunities to access and share insightful content. Additionally, they can attend educational events and engage with peers through open forums. First we helped Labelmaster plan, develop and launch the community with strategic support. Meanwhile we also developed messaging, content and a promotion plan, including an integrated digital and PR campaign. Within two months, DG Exchange hit 550 members. Subsequently, it continues to see high engagement on group and forum discussions, webinar attendance and more. Check it out, and let us know what you think!
Riverside Insights PR Outreach Supports Lead Generation
Client: Riverside Insights
Riverside Insights is one of the leading and most long-standing developers in research-based assessments designed to help elevate the individual potential of students, clinical patients and employees/companies. Initially, Riverside Insights contacted OMS to support its IowaFlex™ adaptive achievement assessment launch. All together, the program included a phased media relations and social media campaign. First a soft roll-out began in Fall 2019, followed by a widespread launch in Summer 2020. Then we supported additional projects, including announcing Riverside Insights’ Battelle® Developmental Inventory, Third Edition™ (BDI-3™) assessment.
In short, return metrics proved consistently favorable across initiatives. However, the most notable were 12 sales leads directly generated through the BDI-3 public relations campaign. Riverside Insights received inquiries from key stakeholders at educational institutions around the globe, including Italy and Iran. These leads speak volumes about the value and reach of strategically targeted news releases to secure meaningful ROI results. You can find out more about Riverside Insights here.

Brother Introduces New Line of Mobile Ready Printers
Client: Brother Mobile Solutions
In order to fill a need for fast, flexible and creative point-of-service solutions, our client Brother Mobile Solutions (BMS) recently introduced the new RuggedJet Go series of mobile receipt printers. To support the launch, Outlook worked closely with the BMS’ marketing team to develop a content strategy and vertical content pieces focused on segments including retail and public safety. First we created a retail-focused white paper: ‘The New Retail Ecosystem’ – a key piece in the series’ launch. It was part of outbound email campaigns and is also available as gated content on the BMS website.
Next, beyond the initial white paper, we created blog content to showcase how the new series supported parking operations and enforcing parking regulations. To build media interest, we also created an introductory press release “Brother Unveils New ‘On the Go-Ready’ Line of Mobile Receipt Printers,” which integrated with videos that the BMS team created to drive engagement.
Thank you Q4 client projects’ partners, as well as all those in 2020! Have questions about the projects we profiled? Reach out anytime to an Outlook Marketing team member.
